Contributions
Since it began, Friends of Turton Tower has made contributions to the collections at Turton Tower as well as providing items used to help preserve the Tower and its contents. Over the last three years, the Friends have had to focus their funds on raising awareness about the situation over the funding of Turton Tower.
We now intend to return our focus to making more contributions to Turton Tower. Here are some examples of the contributions the Friends have made over the year, including ones that we have put money towards.
Paintings of The Chethams
The Friends made a contribution to help the Tower purchase pictures of members of the Chetham family, which are now being restored by the Lancashire Museum Conservation Centre.
