Come and visit
The tower is open from March to October, Wednesdays to
Sundays and every Bank Holiday. The opening hours for the
tower are 12pm until 5pm and the Victorian Tea Room is
open on the same days from 10:30am until 5pm.
Entry is free to members of the Friends of Turton Tower.
Please bring your membership card with you to take
advantage of this.
For non-members it is £8 for adults, £3 for concessions and
accompanied children go in for free.
Wheel chair access is possible for some parts of the ground
floor. Assistance dogs are welcome.
School groups are very welcome and different sessions can
be organised for different age groups and topics.
The tower can be hired as a venue for events.
How to get to us:
By car: M65 Junction 4, A666 through Darwen; left at
Green Arms Road to Chapeltown; right onto B6392.
or M66 At the end of the motorway, take A676 to Bradshaw,
turn right along B6391.
or M61 Junction 5, left onto A58; left onto A676 to
Bradshaw; left onto B6391.
By bus:
From Blackburn: 237 to High Street, Chapeltown
and then walk from High Street and turning right onto
Chapeltown Road and walking about 10 minutes to Turton
Tower.
From Bolton or Edgworth: 537.
From Darwen: 320, 321; or 37 to Edgworth and then 537 to
Turton Tower.
Please check with Traveline for the latest times and details
of routes.
By train: Bromley Cross station is the nearest station to
Turton Tower. It is about 25 minutes walk from the station or
there is a bus service that goes up Chapeltown Road
to the tower.
